Three Campuses
We understand that every student has unique learning needs. We have three campuses with an intentional 10 to 1 student to teacher ratio to walk with our students in their learning.
Trauma Informed Educators
Trauma has been described as a snake wrapped around us squeezing the air out of us. 100% of our staff has been through Trauma Informed Training.
Mentorship
Every student at DSS has a mentor to walk with them through the hard times.
Advocates
Our students meet four times a week with their teacher/advocate. These meetings are the foundation of life change. #SomeoneCaresSoICare
10,000 Conversations
Our school day is built to allow our students and staff to have 10,000 little conversations. #LIFE comes from relationships.
College
Over 22 students currently enrolled in local area colleges.
Future Graduates
We are looking at nearly twenty graduates for the 2019 school year.
30+ Years
DSS has been bringing #LIFE to Denver’s At-risk youth longer than most of our teachers have been alive. Let that sink in… 30+ years of life change…
