Current Volunteer Opportunities

Hope Academy volunteers must be Christian women 21 years and older.

  • Mobile Mentors – transport students to or from school and be available to listen and connect with them during your time together.  Vans are available for use or drivers may drive their personal vehicles.

  • Tutors – come alongside students and aid in their academic studies on campus during school hours. Minimum commitment of 1 hour a week for three months.

  • Short-Term Mentors  – come alongside students and surround them in a safe, loving, supportive, and encouraging environment on campus during school hours.  Minimum commitment of 1 hour a week for three months.

  • Long-Term Mentors – come alongside an individual girl and model healthy living and healthy relationships primarily off campus. Be available to listen and support your student.  Get together for coffee, a movie, a walk, church, errands, etc.  Minimum commitment of 1 hour a week for 1 year.

  • Prayer Team Members – join a team of prayer warriors to pray over the students, staff, and program.  Prayer can be done from home.  Optional on site prayer opportunities from time-to-time.

  • Lunch Team Members  – provide a healthy well-balanced meal for students on campus.  Flexible schedule and commitment.

  • Creative Expressions Facilitators – if you have a skill that will allow the students to engage their creativity and connect with their emotions and with others, we would love to have you teach a class.

  • Special Events Volunteers  – help plan special events for the girls or serve as an even- day volunteer.  Events can include spa days, field trips, special dinners, and more.

  • Life Skills Presenters – we would love individuals to share their personal journeys of achieving an education, discovering their gifts, and pursuing their dreams.

  • Community Outreach Team Members – man a Hope Academy information table at presentations and anti-trafficking events.

All volunteers must fill out an application. Training is required for serving in roles that interact directly with the students.  Training includes a 10-module (20 hours) class as well as an 8-hour Youth Mental Health First Aid Course.  Background checks are performed on all Hope Academy volunteers.

* Our greatest need at this time are Mobile Mentors and Tutors.
