If not for DSS, I’d still be struggling with addiction. Thank you for always being there when everyone else had given up on me. I’m going to be the first in my family to go on to college.

Summer

DSS taught me how to be successful in school and keep a good head on my shoulders. I love that I’ve had such a good relationship with my teachers. They love us and help us out as much as they can. Thank you!

Mikel

2018 Graduate

DSS helped me find purpose in school and in life. Without this school, I’d probably be selling drugs, in jail or dead. Thank you for letting me find myself here, and for giving me another chance at life.

Antonio

2018 Graduate

Thank you for getting me back on track and for being there when I needed you the most. You taught me to have determination for my goals, and so I’m planning to go to CU and become a neurosurgeon.

Rachel

DSS, thank you for actually caring about me and my education. You’ve helped me become a better person by showing me how to change old habits. I don’t know where I’d be with you!

Alexis

DSS, thank you for everything. Without you, I don’t think I would have graduated on time—if at all. You helped me stay focused! Next, I’m planning to attend CCD for either pre-med or CSI.

Ty

When I started DSS, I hated everything about the school. But now this school is like my family. Thank you for showing love to me and my daughter, and for a second chance. You’ve helped me through so much.

Breanna

DSS taught me to be more independent and responsible and to stay out of trouble. Thanks for helping me, graduate! I’m planning to go to Emily Griffith to get my barbering license.

Alma

DSS feels like a second home and I love the teachers. Thank you for teaching me about Jesus and helping me think about my future. I’ll be the first in my family to go to college!

Ahrie

Thank you for giving me a second family and always accepting me just as I am. I’ve learned to be more patient, accept help, and control my anger. And thanks for introducing me to Jesus.

Alysa

2018 Graduate

Without the support of DSS, I’d probably be sitting in jail. Thank you for helping me through all my struggles and for loving me for who I am. This school has helped me become a better person.

Shania

I am planning to go to cosmetology school after graduation. Thanks for making me push myself and helping me find my motivation! I now know I can do anything I put my mind to.
